The current process to gain your motorcycle endorsement requires four tests to be completed. These can be completed through training classes or  taking the DOL tests.

You must pass both levels of testing to get your endorsement.

Level I: consists of a 50 question written knowledge test and a 5 run skills test. You can get a permit added to your driver’s license with successful completion of level I. (These two tests are administered in the Get Riding Course or you can chose to just take the tests (if you are over the age of 18)- see DOL Testing Tab)

Level II: consists of a 25 question written knowledge test and 2 run skills test. You can get an endorsement added to your driver’s license with successful completion of Level II and Level I. (all four of the tests are administered in the (RR) Returning Rider class or you can chose to just take the endorsement tests (if you are over the age of 18)- see DOL Testing Tab) )

Whether you chose to take a safety class (highly recommended) or just the DOL tests-All Level I and Level II skills and knowledge tests must be completed for an endorsement.
